Advent – A Time of Waiting

We have entered the Second Week of Advent. The Love Candle has been lit, and we continue to wait in joyful anticipation for the birth of Christ. Visible signs of our faith are everywhere. The lighting of the advent wreath reminds us of the everlasting  presence of God’s love, joy, hope and peace. The beauty and simplicity of our Nativity displays reminds us of the narrative which changed the world. All around, images of the Christmas season abound: evergreen trees, wreaths, garland, tinsel, ornaments, wrapped toys and most importantly, the joy and laughter of children; all present and most encouraging.

While we wait, we pray. We reflect and we prepare to celebrate. Thanks to our wonderful staff for helping to prepare the foyer, the school and classrooms for the celebration of Christ’s birth.
